Barbara Steckly from Preferred Client Services with your bookkeeping tip of the day.

How do you know if you have a good bookkeeper or a bad bookkeeper?

A good bookkeeper is always up to date and will have immediate answers for you.

A bad bookkeeper will never have any answers for you when asked.  Always “getting back to you” or madly putting things together before having an answer

A good bookkeeper provides your monthly reports to you without being asked and the reports make sense.

A bad bookkeeper always needs to be prodded for financials and will likely have a substantial amount of items in a suspense or clearing account.
